Should your bicycle parts be replaced?
How to tell if your bike needs replacement parts!
One: tires
A. Look at the top of the tire with the naked eye, if it is already flat.
B. The tire wear indicator has disappeared.
C. The tire wall has cracked, and the chance of a puncture is greatly increased.
2. Mountain bike tires
A. In the case of chocolate tires, if the height is already lower than half of the original.
B. If it is a tire with a normal tread pattern, the tread pattern in the middle is about to disappear.
2. Brake pads
A. The groove of the brake pad is about to disappear.
Three, inside and outside tube
A. The brake or shifting inner cable is rusty.
B. The luster of the brake or shift inner cable becomes dull.
C. The end of the brake or shift inner cable has branched, and the force is easily uneven during operation, and there is a doubt that it will break.
D. After pressing the brake lever, the response time of the inside line becomes slower.
E. The transmission has been adjusted according to the normal steps, but it is still inaccurate. It is recommended to replace the inner cable first.
F. If it is determined that everything is normal for the brake or transmission inner cable, but the operation is still not smooth, it is recommended to consider replacing the outer tube.
Fourth, the chain
A. Use a simple gauge to check the elongation rate of the chain. The chain gauge generally has two levels of 0.75 and 1.0. If the card does not enter 0.75, there is no need to replace it; if the card enters 0.75, the card does not enter 1.0, only replace the chain; if it can enter 1.0, the chain flywheel must be replaced together, otherwise the new chain with the old flywheel may skip teeth, especially if you step on it vigorously. Generally, the whole life of a flywheel can use 2 to 3 chains.
B. Electronic gauges can also be used, if the stretch rate reaches 0.8mm, they need to be replaced!
Five, chainring
A. The normal shape is a trapezoid, if it becomes a sharp triangle, consider replacing it
Six, rim brake surface
A. Touch with fingers, the surface has obvious depressions.
B. After cleaning the surface, the color gloss is still dark.
C. The wear lines on the surface have disappeared.
