How to deal with rusty chains?
Bicycles are a means of transportation in our daily lives, but sometimes they don’t ride for long periods of time. As time goes by, the chains of bicycles will rust. Rust is a very common phenomenon. After rusting, it will naturally affect the riding. How to deal with the rusty chain?
If the bicycle chain is rusty, use a rust remover to remove the rust spots, then wash it with water, spray the bicycle with a special anti-rust agent, then air dry, and add a small amount of lubricating oil.
It will not rust after two or three years of storage. If it is used frequently, add lubricating oil for about half a month. If it is not exposed to rain, it will not rust for about a year.
After the chain is found to be darkened with oil stains or rust spots, clean it and repeat the above steps. Except for stainless materials or sprayed special materials.
Change to stainless steel, galvanized and nickel-plated. Of course, ordinary carbon steel chains that are often oiled can also prevent rust to a certain extent.
